_The article deals with the problems of theoretical and applied aspects of state guard in the system of state governance in Ukraine. The study of the genesis of the emergence and establishment of state concludes that the institution of state leaders\' guard has appeared since the formation of the state, the emergence of state leaders and the emergence of contradictions between them. It is substantiated that in the context of reforms implemented in Ukraine, the modern security service of state authorities and officials has been established. It is concluded that the state guard is carried out under the statutory tasks directly in the sphere of state security and in order to ensure state security, and therefore, in the context of the activity of the Department of State Guard of Ukraine (hereinafter DSGU), the necessity of coercive measures application for the DSGU is wider and may concern either the offenders as provided for law enforcement agencies, or other persons in the interests of state protection of public authorities and officials.
Research background: Mountain areas, considering the objective reasons for the limited transport accessibility and types of economic activities, insufficiently developed areas of employment and the social welfare system, remoteness from areas of intensive economic growth, business activity accumulation centers, capital and investment, intellectual staff and information flows, used to have low level of investment attractiveness, financial and economic development and quality of the social sphere. As a result, of these and other circumstances, the level of external labor migration significantly increases. This is the condition to use the economic methods of influence, among which one of the most effective is the method of stimulating of small business development. Purpose of the article: The aim of the article is to develop means to stimulate the development of small business as an effective economic method of external labor migration control in the mountainous areas of the Carpathian region of Ukraine. Methods: In the process of research, general scientific and special methods were used: synthesis and system analysis; statistical, economic and comparative analysis, strategic management, analytical and forecast calculations. Findings & Value added: The article analyzes the potential and state of the socio-economic development of mountain areas of the Carpathian region of Ukraine; the characteristics of the negative aspects of the development of small business in the state mountainous regions are given and the reasons for their occurrence. Investigated and graphically depicted the structure of the types of economic activity of mountain areas and identified the most promising areas of development and improving the efficiency of the small business. Given are the target landmark of the small business development policy, methods and measures that should be implemented in terms of improving the legal regulation of state support for the development of small business in mountain regions.
The research, based on scientific and practical views, proposes the development of basic approaches to planning the activities of military formations and law enforcement agencies, based on the crisis response capabilities that threaten Ukraine\'s national security and that arise, including in the northern territories.
Background. To investigate the protective effect of carbon monoxide (CO), a potent regulator plays an ubiquitous role in down-regulation of acute inflammation, in the mice induced with collagen antibody-induced arthritis (CAIA).\nMethods. BALB/c mice were housed in separate chambers, one in room air and the other in an environment with a CO concentration of 250 parts per million. CO was administered 3 days before collagen antibody injection and continued until the mice were sacrificed. Clinical manifestations and histopathological changes in these mice were examined in a blinded manner. Total splenocytes from both groups were harvested for T cell proliferation. \nResults. In mice injected with the antibody, arthritic symptoms developed and culminated 7 to 10 days after injection. Disease severity was comparatively lower in the CO-treated group. IL-1β in CO-treated mice was markedly downregulated at the RNA and protein levels relative to the control group. T cell proliferation and IL-2 production were much lower in CO-treated mice. The CO-mediated inhibition of T cell proliferation was reversed by IL-2 administration, and CO pretreatment suppressed the production of IL-2 in splenocytes.\nConclusions. CO mediated significant anti-inflammatory effects and protected mice from CAIA. CO-mediated inhibition of cytokine secretion and T cell proliferation which occurs by IL2 signaling contributes to this protective effect.
Preventing the occurrence of destructive conflict remains one of the most problematic tasks for the corporation. The main purpose of the research is to explore measures that help in preventing agency conflict and advance corporate diplomacy with stakeholders in corporations. It covers the entire research process including: formulating research questions; measurement; research design expermental method. The research used the result from the authors� study of the years 2015-2018. The object of research is the Ukrainian companies, which have picked randomly from 10 regions: 31 public and 36 private joint-stock companies. The paper presents the results of the conflict prevention methods for developing successful corporate diplomacy under uncertainty conditions of Ukrainian corporation growth. The paper identifies organizational diplomacy as an essential strategy for corporation success. It sets out the stakeholders interests and their influence on the corporation. The article has proposed effective methods to prevent destructive impact of conflicts which can help to avoid risks and difficulties of the corporation.
Frozen shoulder (FS) occurs in approximately 2–5% of the general population. Approximately 20–50% of patients suffer from long-term deficits. Focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy (fESWT) is used to treat tendinopathies, but there are only few studies, with inconsistent findings, on its effectiveness for frozen shoulder. Thus, we sought to determine its effectiveness in FS. \nSeventeen patients with FS, with intractable symptoms, despite 3 months’ physical therapy and medication, were included. They received fESWT once a week. Outcome measures were pain, based on a visual analog scale (VAS) score (0–10), range of motion (ROM), and Constant shoulder score (0–100). The ROM and Constant scores for the shoulder were recorded at baseline, immediately after the intervention, and 8 weeks post-initial treatment. VAS and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7) scale scores were recorded at baseline, and at 4, 8, and 12 weeks post-intervention. Non-parametric Mann–Whitney/Wilcoxon rank-sum tests were used for analysis and P < 0.05 defined statistical significance.\nThe VAS scores at baseline, 4-weeks, 12-weeks, and 24-weeks posttreatment were 7.8 ± 0.46, 2.6 ± 0.57, 0.5 ± 0.28, and 0.1 ± 0.08, respectively (all P < 0.01). The Constant shoulder scores at baseline, immediately after the intervention, and at 8-week follow up were 30.6 ± 3.2, 41.6 ± 3.9, and 52.8 ± 2.3, respectively (p = 0.031, 0.003). The GAD-7 scores at baseline, 4-week, 12-week, and 24-week post-treatment were 17.35 ± 0.70, 5.76 ± 0.88, 2.05 ± 0.56, and 0.53 ± 0.26, respectively (all P < 0.001).\nfESWT immediately improved Constant scores and ROM and reduced pain and anxiety within 4 weeks. These improvements persisted for up to 6 months. fESWT can thus be useful for refractory FS.
Background\nLeukemia is an ever-increasing cancerous disease. The present study aims to evaluate the anti-leukemic role of natural compounds as Moringa-oleifera, curcumin and/or green tea extracts against cyclophosphamide as a standard anti-leukemic drug and their ability to alleviate the harmful effects of benzene induced leukemia. \nMaterials and methods\nSeventy albino rats were divided into seven groups (10 rats/each group) as follows: negative-control group, positive-control (benzene chromasolv-induced leukemia) group, Moringa-oleifera-extract-treated group, curcumin-treated group, green tea extract- treated group, combined green tea extract & curcumin-treated group and cyclophosphamide-treated group. Rats were sacrificed at the end of the experiment. Hematological parameters including complete blood count, differential leukocyte count beside bone marrow differential count were measured. \nResult\nLeukemia-induction (0.2 mL of benzene injection (twice/week) intravenously in tail vein for only 3 months) was associated with marked anemia & leukocytosis compared with negative-control group. Further, the restoration of deteriorated hematological parameters & bone marrow results in all treated groups compared with leukemia group were observed; thus proving the anti-leukemic/chemopreventive effects of all the natural plant/extracts used in this study against benzene-induced leukemia, which are compatible to cyclophosphamide. Hence, the potential treatment efficacy of daily oral administration of Moringa-oleifera-extract (100 mg/kg), curcumin extract (300mg/ kg) and/or green tea extract (350 mg/kg) against benzene-induced leukemia-burden in rats was confirmed. \nConclusion:\nMoringa oleifera, curcumin, green tea extracts and a combination of curcumin & green tea extracts could be used as natural/green anti-leukemic drugs/remedies, chemopreventive agents and as dietary adjuvant(s) to ameliorate the harmful effects of induced-leukemia in rats.
The article substantiates the need for state regulation of demographic processes, defines the essence of demographic policy, clarifies its main purpose, objectives and directions of implementation. The peculiarities of the economic and legal mechanism for public administration in the system of demographic policy implementation by Ukraine are revealed.
The malignant diseases, especially ovarian cancer, are on the rise and difficult to treat. In the past two decades, there has been an increase in the incidence as well as survival rate amongst women with ovarian cancer. Herbs or plant-based formulations have been used to treat cancer for centuries. This study focused to find the easily available herbs/spices which showed its potentiality as anti- cancer property on ovarian cancer, and the way how they act in ameliorating the condition. Published journal article were filtered in PubMed and Google scholar. Search terms ‘Botanical name’ OR ‘common name’ combined with ‘ovarian tumour’ OR ‘ovarian cancer’ OR ‘ovarian carcinoma’ up to 2019. A total of 110 articles were filtered. Curcumin, Ginger Garlic, Aloe, fruits, seeds and leaves of Annonaceae species and Black nightshade showed high potentiality in prevention and reduce the growth and thereby shrink the ovarian tumour. Therefore the medical world should actively take prompt and appropriate measures to combat this condition by reintroducing the traditional food habits by declaring the slogan as “ make your kitchen as your first pharmacy” in preventing and treating diseases.
The article demonstrates the influence of virtual reality on the micro-alterations in unconscious and conscious sets of the personality. The authors study the effect of the specially designed VR training programs upon an alteration in subconscious attitudes towards phobic situations. In fact, the technologies designed in the virtual reality (VR) alters a substantially conscious understanding of the situation of fear, starting with the transformation of the original unconscious attitudes to the components of the situation. The research is devoted to the application of the VR products which are aimed at the achievement of the progressive personal changes and applied for a short period if time. The experiments results show that if a user prone to phobias identifies him or herself with an avatar in the virtual reality, it results in his or her more positive attitude towards the components of the phobic situation.\nChanges in the VR environment of fear are determined by the possibility of a systemic influence on a person, the creation of complex situations and complex social objects. The person in this case is experiencing like real events. VR allows you to create a second being, produce a special ontology for modern man.
In order to identify and inventory the vegetation and fauna present in four mangroves (Mata Limon, Puntarenas, Hermosa Beach- Punta Mala, and Playa Organos) of the Gulf of Nicoya, Cota Rica Pacific, four punctual field visits were made, in each one Delos Mangroves studied, following a rapid sampling protocol (RAP for its acronym in English), which consisted of visualizations of the vegetal organisms (nuclear and marginal) and faunal (vertebrates and invertebrates). A total of 60 species of vegetation were found for the area of study in general, of which seven are nuclear 49marginal and four optional marginal, as well as found the greater vegetal richness in the mangrove of Mata limon (S= 33). For its part, the fauna presented 115 species, registering seven mammals, 63 birds, nine reptiles, 14 molluscs and 21 arthropods. The greatest faunal richnesses were presented in Puntarenas and Playa Hermosa� Punta Mala with 49 species each. It could be noted that the four sites studied within the Gulf of Nicoya, showed low similarities according to the composition of species of flora and fauna, being spaces of equal ecological importance.
